Who is Doctors Age Management?
Doctors Age Management is a Raleigh, North Carolina based medical practice with trained affiliate physicians nationally. Our Medical Director is Lewis H. Stocks, M.D., PhD; F.A.C.S. Dr. Stocks holds a PhD in Pharmacology along with his medical degree and has been in practice for over 30 years. Our practice is located on the Rex Hospital Campus at 4414 Lake Boone Trail Suite 309 in Raleigh, NC.
Our core practice value is to: provide quality medical care to patients seeking to manage their age and overall heath. We take time with each patient and provide plenty of follow up care. As a matter of fact the doctor likes to see all his patients several times each year and also sends each patient for follow of labs every three to four months. About our Medical Director and Chief Physician Educator
Lewis H, Stocks, PhD, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Lewis H. Stocks is our medical director and chief physician educator. Dr.Stocks brings 35 years of experience in both medicine and pharmacology to Doctors Age Management. Dr. Stocks has headed a successful private practice in Raleigh North Carolina for almost 32 years.
Dr. Stocks is President of Stocks Surgical Center and former president of Carolina Thermascan. Dr. Stocks received his B.S. in Pharmacy and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He received his Ph.D. in Pharmacology from Marquette University and his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin. He completed his surgical residency at Duke University Medical Center. While a resident at Duke, he was involved with clinical trials where he started the first solid tumor cancer clinic for the treatment of breast cancer patients. In 1972, Dr. Stocks was instrumental in establishing the standards for the North Carolina Breast Cancer Detection Project.
Dr. Stocks runs a successful General Surgery Practice in Raleigh North Carolina and sees upwards of 50 patients per week. Dr. Stocks can still be found in the OR two times per week and making his rounds at Rex Hospital. Dr. Stocks still seems to find time to attend various conferences and seminars to better sharpen and enhance his advanced knowledge in Age Management and its protocols. Dr. Stocks' passion for Age Management Medicine has led him on a journey to create an Age Management Treatment Protocol that is changing the way patients are treated and cared for. Each patient is provided personalized care and guidance. Dr. Stocks likes to say, "Our practice is "healthcare, not sick care".
Dr. Stocks is Board Certified and a Fellow of The American College of Surgeons. He is a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons. His special interests include interventional endocrinology, age management medicine,and breast disease. His passion for breast cancer treatment has continued through the years and this breast expertise has allowed him to be the principle investigator in two international studies. Dr. Stocks was the first surgeon to perform laparoscopic surgery, stereotactic breast biopsies and lung volume reductions in Wake County, North Carolina. Dr. Stocks at 69 has three children 17 or younger at home, is happily married and enjoys being an on the go soccer dad.
